1. 1. Brief information about department: Organization of “Social Sciences” department at the Nukus State Pedagogical Institute began in the 1950s. The first teachers of the department were professors A.P.Shmakov and A.P.Tetyushev. In order to train local staff, teachers were sent to study social science courses. Among them, T.I.Izimbetov graduated postgraduate school of Social Sciences Academy on the subject Philosophy in 1958.

Then M.A.Yakubov and S.Utegenov were sent to the Faculty of Philosophy at the Moscow State University named after M.Lomonosov in 1964 and J.Bazarbaev to Tashkent State University. After the 1960s, by reason of the growth of staff, the department of “Social Sciences” became a separate department. For the first time, at the Pedagogical Institute was opened Department of PhD. In 1995, «Социально – политические и межнациональные проблемы экологического кризиса Приаралья» was defined as the scientific topic of the department and scientifically-theoretical works were carried out under the guidance of professor J.B.Bazarbaev.

As a result of these researches, the teachers of the department A.Muratbaeva, Z.Seytova and A.Bairieva successfully presented their candidate dissertations. Between 2010 and 2018 pedagogical staff of the department “Social Sciences” published: 2 monographs B.Bekjanova – “«Ранние истоки свадебных обрядов каракалпакского народа»” 2014; Z. 2. Information about the heads of the departments: From the moment the department appeared in 1962-1967, the head of the department “Philosophy” was headed by T.I. Izimbetov. 1967-1990 Ph.D. n. K. Kudaibergenov. 2000-2007 Ph.D. professor B.Zh.Bazarbaev the department of “Philosophy” was renamed “Social disciplines”. 2008-2013 Associate Professor Zh. Sagyndikov, Candidate of Philological Sciences, later Ph.D. Associate Professor Z. Seytova.In 2011, the Department of Economics and Social Management was merged into the Department of Social Disciplines. 2013 – to the present day, the department was headed by Ph.D. Professor B. Bazarbaev, Ph.D. Associate Professor S. Abaev, Ph.D. Associate Professor O. Torebaev, Ph.D. Associate Professor P.Khozhalepesov, Ph.D. Associate Professor A.Turebekov, Ph.D. Associate Professor O. Torebaev, Ph.D. E. Asamaddinov is currently the head of the department headed by Doctor of Historical Sciences. Ya.Abdullaeva. 3.Information about the achievements of the department: During the years of independence, the teaching staff of the department achieved certain achievements in the scientific and educational fields. During the period of re-establishment of the institute in the years of independence, the teachers of the department actively participated in the preparation of monographs, textbooks and teaching aids. In the period 2000-2018, 2 monographs, 15 teaching aids and many articles and theses were published. In turn, the teachers of the department actively participate in international and republican conferences.In the period of independence, teachers of the department, in addition to educational work, actively attract students to scientific activities.          Teachers of the Department of “Social Disciplines” of the Nukus State Pedagogical Institute in every possible way educate young people in the spirit of patriotism and highly intellectual personnel of our Republic.In the 2021 book of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan “Scattering the Light” by Ziya Nur. An article by Abdullaeva has been published. Yana da Y. Abdullayeva published an article in the Scopus magazine in 2020 under the title “Soviet repressive policy, its impact on the life of Karakalpak women and their results” and in the 4th issue of the journal “Science and Society” in 2021 under the title “Ideas and feedback on gender equality”. planned to be published. Thanksgiving is approaching, which means the holiday season is in full swing. In 2020, Abdullayeva’s article “The Legacy and Present of Abu Raykhan Beruni in 2021” was published. A textbook by Abdullaeva and O. Torebaeva “Fundamentals of Innovative Economics” was also published.The assistant of the department Naubetullaeva E. published an article in the 1st issue of the journal “Science and Society” for 2021 on the topic “Search for riddles in linguistics in the linguo-folklore direction” in the January issue of the journal Scopus for 2021. Stylistic reflections were published. Also Y. Abdullaeva and Z. Eshnazarova “Philosophy of Nature” in 2020, textbook by Z. Dalyanova “Economic Theory”. Assistant of the department Niyazimbetov M. in the journal “Science and Society” 2020 article “Systematic thinking in scientific knowledge”, in the journal “Tamaddun Nuri” 2020 article “Paradigmatic approaches to modeling socio-economic processes”, 20 “Science and Society” and Science and Education in Karakalpakstan 2021. Paradigmatic Approaches to Complex Systems.
