At Ajiniyaz Nukus State Pedagogical Institute, after our country gained independence, the “Natural Sciences” department was divided into separate “Botany” and “Zoology” departments in 1993. In 1999, a chemistry laboratory was established within the “Botany” department, which later led to the formation of the “Chemistry” department in 2000 by the decision of the Scientific Council of NSPU.
From 2000 to 2006, the department was named the “Chemistry” department. In January 2006, it was renamed the “Chemistry and Ecology” department. Between 2016 and 2017, the name was changed again to “Methods of Teaching Chemistry,” and it has continued its activities under this name ever since.
