As part of his official visit, the rector of  Nukus State Pedagogical Institute named after Ajiniyaz, Kuvondik Kodirov, visited Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, one of the most prestigious higher education institutions in Kazakhstan.

During the meeting with the university’s Chairman of the Board – Rector, Zhanseit Tuymebayev, it was emphasized that in recent years, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan have strengthened cooperation not only in trade, economics, culture, and investment but also in education.

The heads of both universities agreed on the importance of further developing collaboration in the following areas:

• Academic mobility programs
• Joint dual-degree educational programs
• Professional development for faculty members
• Opening a branch of Al-Farabi University at NSPI
• Joint participation in international and local grant projects

Following the discussions, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the two institutions.
