INFORMATION ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT ׃ Creation of the Department of Social Sciences of the Nukus State Pedagogical Institute began in 1950-60. At the beginning of the department there were professors and teachers A.P. Shmakov, A.P. Tetyushev. To train local cadres, teachers were sent to refresher courses in social studies. Among them T.I. Izimbetov graduated from the Academy of Social Sciences in 1958 with a degree in Philosophy. After that M.A. Yakubov, S. Utegenov in 1964 were sent to the Faculty of Philosophy of the Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov, Zh. Bazarbaeva – to the Tashkent State University. After the 1960s, due to the growth of the staff, the Department of Social Sciences became a separate department. For the first time in the history of the Pedagogical Institute, a postgraduate course was opened in the specialty “Philosophy”. In 1995, the scientific theme of the department was defined as “The ecological crisis in the Aral Sea region and its socio-political problems”, and the scientific and theoretical work was carried out under the guidance of Professor Zh.B. Bazarbayev. As a result of the research, the teachers of the department A.Muratbaeva, Z. Seytova and A. INFORMATION ABOUT THE ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE DEPARTMENT ׃ During the years of independence, the professors and teachers of the department, along with educational work, have achieved a number of results in research work. During the reorganization of the institute over the years of independence, professors and teachers of the department prepared a monograph with new content, teaching aids. In 2000-2018 alone, professors and teachers of the department published more than 18 monographs, textbooks, several teaching aids, scientific articles and dissertations. In turn, professors and teachers of the department actively participate with their scientific articles in international conferences. During the years of independence, the teachers of the department, along with the effective conduct of educational work among students, took an active part in their attraction and direction for research. At the Nukus State Pedagogical Institute named after Ajiniyaz, professors and teachers of the department make a great contribution to the education of students as faithful and perfect people, in increasing their spiritual, educational and intellectual potential.
